Padmé had a remarkable journey in 2022, from revisiting the US Open and Wimbledon to foraying into new venues like The Shed, TD Garden, and Universal studios.
Padmé is an edge platform that helps an enterprise deploy cutting-edge machine learning models effortlessly on its edge devices.
Padmé had significant updates in 2022. The latest version, Padmé 2.0, is a self-serve platform where our customers can set up the cameras and deploy the models with just a few clicks. It grants users access to the camera video stream and enables the masking tool to crop the required region in any shape. This allows it to provide inferencing only to the masked zone. The results are reported in real-time to the platform, which can be used for swift decision-making. The ability to mask an area in any polygon-shaped area is a considerable improvement that received positive customer feedback.
We deployed the crowd counting and people counting models at the US Open, Wimbledon, and TD Garden. These models helped our venue partners in better crowd management and improved audience experience. At the Shed, we deployed the Ingress/Egress model to understand the number of visitors going in and out of various galleries. At Universal Studios, we deployed the models to track customers at the food court to improve their experience with ordering and receiving the food at their table. This solution helps the staff quickly find where the customers are seated after placing their orders.
Concepts of new use cases, such as anomaly detection for the retail industry and pose detection, are being explored with the idea of including them in future versions of Padmé. Anomaly detection in the retail industry can be used to find if the pallets are damaged or stacked in an unstable manner. Pose detection can be especially useful in the health and lifestyle domain, where the user’s exercise or yoga pose can be compared with the correct pose for corrective measures and form improvement.
Looking ahead to the coming year, we have exciting plans in store for Padmé. We will continue to add new features and functionality to the platform. The team would like to thank our clients for their continued support. We are grateful for your business and look forward to continuing to delight you in the coming year.
